Adium Betaによると　Ver.1.4β3 が、５月23日に　リリースされていました。

1.4β1 からの追加機能として、Twitter と IRC に対応していました。
1.4β から対応OSは、Mac OS X 10.5 以降となります。

2008年5月28日にMac OS X 10.5.3 Updateがリリースされました。
アップデートの対象は，Mac OS X 10.5/10.5.1/10.5.2で、アップデート内容は、Mac OS X およびアプリケーションョン・ユーティリティ(Address Book, AirPort, Automator, iCal, iChat, Mail, Parental Controls, Spaces, Time Machine, VoiceOverなど)の安定性・互換性の向上とセキュリティ関連では、iCalやApacheの脆弱製が修正されています。

iChatの変更点は、About the Mac OS X 10.5.3 Updateより

iChat

Addresses reliability issues with screen sharing.
Resolves an issue in which saved chat transcripts may reported as “still in use” after opening and closing them in iChat.
Resolves an issue with group chats not being indexed in Spotlight.
Only the last 250 messages of an active chat are saved. Fixed to save unlimited number of lines.
Addresses issues with echo cancellation that may occur on portable Macs.

2008年1月17日に　iChat に様々な機能を拡張する「Chax」の最新版 Ver.2.1.1 が、公開されていました．

Changes from Chax 2.1:

(New) Options to disable the screen saver when receiving a new text message or AV chat

(New) Options to auto-hide the contact list and message windows when iChat is inactive

(New) Clicking a Growl status change notification now opens a new message window

(New) Menu item to mute all iChat alert sounds in the Audio menu

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard 発売

10月26日、Appleの Mac OS X の新しいバージョンとなる「Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard」が、発売されました。
10月26日夕方から　Apple Store で、ワールドプレミアが、また、一部の量販店では、Leopard 発売イベントが、開催されていました。
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard に付属する iChat も　いろいろな機能が強化され、iChat のバージョンは、4.0 になっていました。

iChat 4.0の主な機能として、以下のようなものがあります。

ビデオチャットの背景画像を好きなものに変更する

Photo Boothのエフェクトを使って、いろいろな見せ方を演出できる

ひとつのデスクトップを一緒に見ながら操作ができる画面共有機能

ボイスチャットとビデオチャットのレコーディング機能

テキストチャットの画面を　１つのウィンドウに　タブで使用可能

複数ログインが、可能

ステータスを非表示にすることが可能

iChat Update 1.0

iChat Update 1.0が、ソフトウェアアップデートで、公開されていました．
アップデートすると iChat が．Ver.3.1.6 (v441) に更新されます．

このアップデートは、 iChat のテキスト、オーディオ、またはビデオでのチャットの暗号化に必要な .Mac 証明書を更新します。

iChat に様々な機能を拡張する「Chax 1.4.6」が、リリースされていました．

今回（1.4.5から)の変更点は、次の内容です．

* (New) Tear-off tabs allow for quick separation of chats through drag-and-drop
* (New) Options to show the AIM/Jabber/Bonjour contact lists when clicking the iChat dock icon
* (New) Activity log data can now be exported as an HTML table
* (Feature improvement) Tab overflow menu now animates when a new message has been received that is not visible

* (Feature improvement) Activity log now periodically saves to disk every hour

チャット環境構築

チャット環境を　構築しました．
AIM互換メッセンジャーでチャットルームに　入れるのが、見つからなかったので、iChat の代わりには、まだ使えなさそうです．

iChat / AIM互換
AIM for Windows CE
AIM Messenger の Windows CE(PocketPC)版．複数台からのログインに対応していないので、これで、ログインすると他のログインは、全て切断されます．
Instant Messege 専用で、チャットルームには、入れません．また、チャットルームに招待されても　無視されるようで　確認ダイアログも出ませんでした．
Agile Messenger
MSN、AOL、Yahoo!、ICQをサポートしている Messenger．
これも Instant Messege 専用で、チャットルームには、入れません．また、チャットルームに招待されても　無視されるようで　確認ダイアログも出ませんでした．
